All Through the Years A fan's history of Erasure ยท 1985โ€“2026

1.Who we are

This website, erasurebook.com, is operated by ATTY Publishing Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17366721, with its registered office at 38 Limbrick Avenue, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 7NW ("we", "us", "our").

You can contact us by email at hello@erasurebook.com.

These terms apply to any order you place for All Through the Years: A Fan's History of Erasure, 1985–2026 ("the book") through this website. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

2.The book

All Through the Years is a printed paperback book, running to more than 530 pages, written by Ewan McLaren. It is printed to order by our print partner and is not held in stock — each copy is produced specifically for your order.

Product images, descriptions and page counts on this site are provided in good faith and are as accurate as we can make them, but very minor variations (for example, in exact page count following final proofing, or in print colour reproduction inherent to the digital printing process) do not entitle you to reject the book, provided it otherwise matches its description.

3.Price & payment

The price of the book is shown on this site in pounds sterling (GBP) and includes any applicable UK taxes. Postage is charged in addition and will be shown separately at checkout before you complete your order, based on your delivery destination.

Payment is taken in full at the time you place your order, and is processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details ourselves — see our Privacy Policy for more on how Stripe handles this.

We take reasonable care to ensure prices shown are correct, but if a pricing error is ever displayed on the site, we'll contact you before processing your order and give you the option to confirm at the correct price or cancel.

4.How a contract is formed

Placing an order through this site is an offer by you to buy the book. We'll send you an email acknowledging receipt of your order, but this acknowledgement does not itself mean your order has been accepted.

A contract between us is only formed once we send you a separate email confirming that your order has been dispatched (or is being prepared for dispatch). Until that point, we may decline or cancel an order — for example, if we identify a pricing or listing error, or if we're unable to fulfil it for reasons outside our control — in which case we'll notify you and refund any payment taken in full.

5.Delivery

Estimated delivery timeframes are shown at checkout and depend on your delivery destination and the shipping option you choose. We aim to dispatch orders promptly once they're printed by our print partner.

Unless we've agreed a different delivery date with you, we'll ensure your order is delivered without undue delay and, in any event, within 30 days of the day after you place your order, in line with UK law. If we're unable to meet this, we'll let you know and you'll have the right to cancel and receive a full refund.

Risk in the book passes to you once it's delivered to the address you provided.

6.Your right to cancel

As a consumer buying at a distance, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the book, for any reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You do not need to give a reason.

To cancel, email hello@erasurebook.com within that period — you can use the model form at the bottom of this page, or simply tell us clearly that you wish to cancel. You then have 14 days to return the book to us at ATTY Publishing Limited, 38 Limbrick Avenue, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 7NW, at your own cost. We'll refund what you paid, including the cost of our standard delivery option, within 14 days of receiving the returned book or receiving evidence that you've sent it back, whichever is earlier. We may make a reasonable deduction if the book's value has been reduced by handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted when examining it in a shop.

Full detail on the practical process is set out on our Shipping & Returns page.

7.Faulty or misdescribed books

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you're entitled to a book that's of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If your copy arrives damaged, defective, or doesn't match its description, see our Shipping & Returns page for how to get a replacement or a refund — this is separate from, and in addition to, the 14-day cancellation right above.

Buying a copy of the book gives you ownership of that physical copy. It does not transfer any copyright or other intellectual property rights in its contents. Copyright in the text and any original images remains with the author, Ewan McLaren, as stated in the book itself.

You're welcome to read, lend, resell, or give away your own physical copy. You may not scan, photocopy, digitise, or otherwise reproduce or distribute the content of the book, in whole or in substantial part, without permission, except where permitted by law.

9.Our liability

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or acting negligently, but we're not responsible for any loss or damage that isn't foreseeable, or for losses relating to any business (since this book is sold to consumers, not for business purposes).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law doesn't allow us to exclude or limit.

10.Complaints

If anything about your order isn't right, please email hello@erasurebook.com in the first instance and we'll do our best to resolve it directly and promptly. We're a small, single-title operation rather than a member of a formal alternative dispute resolution scheme, but you can find general guidance on your consumer rights from Citizens Advice.

11.Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also be able to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK you live in.

12.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our fulfilment arrangements or the law. The terms that applied when you placed your order are the ones that govern that order; changes made afterwards won't affect orders already placed.

13.Model cancellation form

UK law requires us to make this form available to you. You don't have to use it — you can cancel by any clear statement to us — but you're welcome to copy this, fill it in, and email it to us if you'd like to.
